We, the leaders, prosecutors, clerks and civil servants of the prosecution institutions at all levels in the Kingdom of Cambodia, have been closely following the peace negotiation process between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Kingdom of Thailand, which culminated in the signing of the “Joint Statement on the Kuala Lumpur Peace Agreement” on October 26, 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This is an important positive step towards the normalization of relations between the two nations and the transformation of the disputed border areas into areas of peace, friendship, cooperation and common development.
We, on behalf of the officials of the prosecution institutions throughout the country, would like to congratulate and highly appreciate the Royal Governments of the two countries under the leadership of His Excellency Hun Manet Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and His Excellency Anutin Chanwirakul Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, and the pivotal role of His Excellency Anwar Ibrahim Prime Minister of Malaysia, and the rotating Chairman of ASEAN, especially the indispensable role of His Excellency Donald Trump President of the United States. At the same time, we would like to thank the participation and support of the People’s Republic of China and the international community. International cooperation in this valuable peace process.
The officials of the prosecution institutions throughout the Kingdom would like to emphasize once again that peace is a sacred and priceless treasure, the only desire of all citizens and the foundation of socio-economic development that we all need to join in protecting and preserving. Cambodia and Thailand are permanent neighbors who need to work together to maintain peace, stability, harmony and common development on the basis of mutual respect and appreciation, understanding and trust for the common good, based on the spirit of good neighborliness, through adherence to the culture of diplomatic dialogue and respect for international law.
The officials of the prosecution institutions throughout the Kingdom of Cambodia would like to call for the continued support and contribution of the international community and partners to ensure the fruits of this joint statement.
